THE NEED
While thankful for the history and beauty of our buildings, we acknowledge a number
of significant limitations. Sunday morning coffee and donuts are hosted outdoors in the
Circle Drive during the warm months of the year because we do not have a parish hall.
It is challenging to dedicate the parish to "the apostle's teaching and to fellowship" when
we do not have meeting spaces for the teaching or a suitable place for the fellowship.
Public gathering spaces become even more urgent in light of our exciting new partnership
with FOCUS, who will provide two full-time missionaries dedicated to the apostolic life of
the parish beginning in August of 2023.
Our 96-year old school is a beautifully designed and solidly crafted building that will continue
to serve our thriving educational community for many decades to come. Now is the time
to address the need for a thorough interior renovation that, while respecting the historical
integrity of the building, addresses its shortcomings. Designed for the educational needs
of an earlier era, we seek to address significant air quality and temperature issues, the need
for improved lighting and functionality in all classrooms, auxiliary spaces and restrooms.
In addition to enhancing the facilities, our good stewardship of the buildings entrusted
to our care requires that we address pressing issues of deferred maintenance and repair
throughout the facility.
