PARISH HISTORY
In 1926, Saint Vincent de Paul Parish was
established by Archbishop Urban J. Vehr who
appointed the Rev. Msgr. Francis Walsh as the
founding pastor. Our present church was
dedicated in 1953. For the past seventy years,
it has been the central focus of this dynamically
orthodox parish dedicated to evangelizing and
serving this beautiful area of Denver. In 2019
Archbishop Samuel Aquila appointed our current
pastor, the Rev. John Hilton.
The building that is home to our highly respected
school was completed in 1927 and in 1996 the
Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of
Saint Cecilia (Nashville Dominicans) assumed
leadership. Under their guidance the school has
become widely known for its strong Catholic
identity, its outstanding education for children
from pre-school through the 8th grade and its
family-centered community life. The school is
currently served by three Dominican Sisters
under the leadership of our principal, Sister Marie
Isaac Staub, O.P. As the school nears its centenary,
it continues to benefit from strong growth that
builds solid foundations for a sustainable future.
