Jesus Our Hope Retreat Center
J
esus Our Hope Retreat Center is nestled in
Jefferson County, 40 minutes southwest
of downtown Denver. At an elevation of 6,800
feet, these consecrated grounds are situated
on 62 acres of rugged woodland dedicated to
God. The St. Francis House provides sanctuary
not only for people of all faiths, but also for
birds and wildlife.
Spacious and supplied with a full kitchen,
four bedrooms (sleeps eight), and a chapel
with the Blessed Sacrament, it has all the com-
forts of a home, without the distractions of TV
and cell phones.
It is an ideal location for overnight/one day
retreats for small church groups, parish staff,
and small organizations that want to meet
God in an uninterrupted setting.
The deacon assists with operations and
maintenance through his role on the Board of
Directors.

Marian Ministry
D
eacons have a special place in their heart
for Mary. Deacons have consecrated
themselves to her, have taken pilgrimages,
and are members of movements and soci-
eties formed to venerate her since she has
appeared and spoken to the faithful in Mexico,
France, Ireland, Portugal, & Bosnia. With the
International Marian Movements of Priests,
the deacon and his wife are part of a Prayer
Cenacle at the parish to ask for intersessions
by Our Mother Mary. They are also involved
in the regional Marian Conferences held in
Denver each year and have made pilgrimages
to Mexico and France.
Deacons are willing to give talks on Mary as
well as give advice on Consecrations, like 33
Days to Morning Glory or St. Louis de Monfort
techniques. Some have made a pilgrimage to
the Marian Shrine in Medjugorje, Fatima, and
other locations. Deacons also organize Marian
Consecrations through their parishes.
