RecoveryWorks – Jefferson County
O
ur mission is to provide access to oppor-
tunities for resources, community and
recovery with our unhoused neighbors. At
RecoveryWorks, we know that recovery is a
challenging process which takes many forms.
We're here to walk along side you on your
own chosen path.
It includes a respite center where homeless
persons can recover from surgery in a safe &
supportive environment, a day center with
case management, and an array of meetings
to support those living sober one day at a
time.
The deacon is a board member of the non-
profit organization.

Prison Ministries
S
ince the first centuries, Christians have
followed Jesus' lead by visiting the
imprisoned. The primary mission of prison
ministry is to bring God's love and mercy
to all, to offer hope to those who may be in
times of chaos and treat the incarcerated
with dignity. Deacons assist at Mass, lead
Communion services, Scripture studies and
facilitate RCIA.
The Director of Prison Ministry, a deacon,
coordinates and directs clergy, religious and
lay Catholic volunteers by scheduling min-
istry work at prison facilities. He recruits,
trains, and supervises the volunteers, as well
as leads the RCIA process for the prison-
ers. The Director also coordinates facility
staff and national diocesan prison ministry
groups.
