Military Services Ministry
I
n partnership with the Archdiocese of Mili-
tary Services, the deacon is assigned to assist
military families, so they continue to grow in
their faith while stationed at Buckley Air Force
Base.
The deacon ensures military families can
worship, receive sacraments and nurture their
faith.
He assists at the Sunday Liturgies in the
base chapel, prepares dependent children of
military personnel to receive the sacraments
including first Holy Communion and Confir-
mation. The deacon assists military personnel
with the marriage preparation process as they
prepare to enter into the Sacrament of Mat-
rimony, as well as helping couples have their
marriage convalidated. He is also an advocate
in the annulment process for military person-
nel and their dependents who are divorced.
Military personnel have Bible studies and
adult faith formation available to them as well.
In addition, the deacon maintains and records
all sacraments conferred at the chapel.
