Consultative Organization
T
he Deacon Council is made up of Re-
gional and Associate Directors who
meet quarterly to discuss the ministries
and the lives of deacons in their regions.
They provide education opportunities, in-
formation exchange, f raternal activities, and
counsel. They represent the deacons in their
region, providing status updates to the Direc-
tor on the welfare and needs of their brother
deacons as well as their families.
The Personnel Board meets monthly to
oversee personnel issues and to advise the
Director on assignments and recommenda-
tions for personnel action for the Archbishop
to consider. They also look at any challenging
situations and oversee the St. Lawrence Assis-
tance Funding for Deacons.
More information can be found in the Policy
Handbook Chapter 2, Part 5.
