Family Life Ministry
F
amily Life seeks to address the varied
issues and challenges that Catholics face
in upholding the beauty and dignity of raising
families. The range of ministry efforts is varied
and diverse in an effort to reach the peripher-
ies of the Catholic faithful. Examples include
ministry efforts to support those suffering
f rom the loss of a child through miscarriage,
ministering to single parent families, and
those affected by divorce or death of a spouse.
This apostolate seeks to provide prayer, educa-
tion, and spiritual support for those devoted to
strengthening their Catholic families.
The deacon provides guidance to parishes
seeking to offer ministry services in their
parishes and by providing information about
designated programs. The deacon also offers
spiritual support to family life lay leaders as
well as the lay faithful who attend ministry
programs.
