Marisol Homes
M
arisol Homes provides safe and secure
emergency and community-based
housing for pregnant women and single
women with children who are experiencing
homelessness. They work with women and
their families as they integrate back into the
community by offering counseling, job train-
ing, workshops, and needed quality childcare
services for their children up to 12 years old.
They help the women to rebuild their lives by
walking alongside them to secure housing
and placing them on a trajectory to stability.
Deacons involved in this ministry help to
bring a compassionate male presence and
visit with the women and families. They share
a meal with the residents once a month. They
also assist with the charity aspect and the
acquisition of donations like hygiene kits.
Marisol Health
M
arisol Health operates two medical cen-
ters on Colorado's Front Range that are
fully equipped to help women make informed
decisions about their reproductive health.
They embrace individuals and families in need
with life-affirming medical care and social
services. The medical clinics are based on a
unique continuum of care model that leverag-
es existing resources within Catholic Charities,
including shelter and housing services, family
and children's services and counseling.
Deacons have initiated a program for fathers
called "Fighting for Fatherhood" to help them
understand their role during the pregnancy
and with their children. The deacons will hold
classes for those fathers.
